Squadron Event: Thunder Over Columbus Airshow 2024

Join us for Thunder Over Columbus 2024, including the:

• United States Air Force Thunderbirds

• F-35 Lightning II Demo Team

• C-17 Globemaster Demonstration Team

• and many more, as listed on the Thunder Over Columbus site.

• Travel from the Squadron building to Columbus AFB and back is FREE for Civil Air Patrol members. Family and friends are invited to caravan in personal vehicles.

• Admission to Thunder Over Columbus 2024 is FREE for ALL.

• Uniform of the Day

  • Cadets: ABU (Sleeves Up)

  • Seniors: Corporate Working Uniform

• Required to Participate:

  • CAPF 160 (Standard that you bring to meetings/Keep with you)

  • CAPF 161 (Standard that you bring to meetings/Keep with you)

  • CAPF 60-80 (Permission Slip for This Event)

• Recommended to Bring:

  • Ear protection (Single-use foam ear plugs are sufficient)

  • Clear plastic water bottle

  • Money for lunch and souvenirs (or a bagged lunch that will be OK in the van several hours)

• Leave Bessemer Composite Squadron 087 building at: 7 a.m. (Arrive NLT 6:45 a.m. to confirm paperwork)

• Arrive back at Bessemer Composite Squadron 087 building at: 6:30 p.m. and ready to be picked up at 6:45 p.m. (to be confirmed as we leave Columbus AFB)
